Costa Rica’s weather is enjoyable throughout the year. The average range of temperatures is from 14 to 24°C (57 to 75°F) in December and from 17 to 27°C (63 to 81°F) in May. The Caribbean Coast has an average temperature of 30°C during the day and of 21°C at night. The Pacific Coast is warmer than the Caribbean, but less humid.

Costa Rica has only two seasons: rainy and dry.

The dry season extends from December to April, while the rainy season runs from May to November.

On an average day during the rainy season, you may expect a sunny morning, a cloudy afternoon, and rain around nightfall.
